Yes, the Holy Scriptures said this. Everything in the Holy Bible is facts & truths from the beginning to the end , no contradictions or confusions...period! I do not get how this idea is so complicated for you. They were held captive and items for given in exchange. Once the brandy, rum , cloth , pans, etc. were handed to the Africans of whatever tribe the captives were placed in the custody of the Europeans. Simple
